Three John Deere innovations have been recognized as award winners at the 2015 SIMA Innovation Awards. The internationally-renowned awards honor the most innovative equipment, products, techniques and services in the farming industry.

John Deere’s ExactEmerge was one of two products selected as gold medal award winners at this year’s event. This high-speed precision seed drill was recognized for its innovation that allows the machine to become a connected object at the core of the farm’s information and communication system and for its high performance and production output.

The AutoConnect system from John Deere was selected as a silver medal award winner at the 2015 SIMA Innovation Awards. The fully-automated connection system was recognized for the safety it provides machines and operators. Helping to prevent accidents in the tool connection and disconnections phases, this system offers assistance or automation in connecting the tractor and its tools, or connecting tools between each other.

John Deere’s Battery Boost, a system for sharing electricity between the farm, the tractor and tools, received special mention at this year’s event. This system offers a complete solution, from storing electricity produced on the farm until its use to drive the various motors present on the attached tools or to provide extra power to the tractor. It can increase the autonomy of the tractor and supply additional power to its transmission and directly to the tool.

John Deere strives to improve the relationship between machines and agronomy and the innovations recognized at the 2015 SIMA Awards have proved their worth.
