John Deere dealers will now offer certified used machines that have passed rigorous quality inspections.

According to a recent company news release, John Deere has introduced a new Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) Equipment program that will allow dealers to offer certified used machines that meet stringent quality inspections and requirements.

The new CPO program is designed to offer customers an opportunity to purchase field-ready used machines with the latest technology to increase overall productivity for their farm or business operation. The program applies to 8R/8RT, 9030 and 9R/9RT Series tractors up to three model years old with 1,500 engine hours or less and STS/S-Series combines up to two model years old with 1,000 engine hours or less.

Bill Weber, division manager, remarketing, John Deere, said about the program in the news release, "Some customers have not upgraded their machinery fleet in a few years and the Certified Pre-Owned Equipment program will allow them to trade up to later model machines with new technology. Typically, these machines have better fuel economy, comfort, convenience, and the latest technology to provide exceptional value to customers wanting to enhance and improve their overall equipment line-up."

Tractors qualifying for CPO status will be inspected and certified across 170 points and combines will be evaluated across 200 points. All Certified Pre-Owned tractors or combines are covered by a comprehensive PowerGard Protection Plan that provides extra value and cost-of-ownership effectiveness. All main components are covered including engine, transmission, final drives, hubs, steering components, electronics, hydraulics, cab, and air conditioning. All CPO machines will also receive a free one-year subscription to JDLink, which monitors machinery location and performance, tracks fuel usage, and manages and protects equipment from a laptop, desktop, or mobile device.

With their new Certified Pre-Owned Equipment program, John Deere hopes to provide customers with the opportunity to purchase quality used tractors and combines to increase operational effectiveness.
