John Deere announced on Aug. 25 that it had expanded the features of its technology lineup with updates to John Deere Harvest Mobile and John Deere Field Connect. These products have received a Gateway 3G update and a Wireless Radio Kit option.
"These newest updates to our ISG products provide our customers with more functionality and service, resulting in higher levels of machine performance and decision-making in the field," said Diana Reed with John Deere Intelligent Solutions Group. "We introduced John Deere Harvest Mobile – a performance and information enhancing system – and improved serviceability to Field Connect with 3G modems and the Wireless Radio option."
John Deere Harvest Mobile helps producers optimize the functions of their machines for grain harvesting. Harvest Mobile has an Interactive Combine Adjustment function to let operators know when they need to make adjustments while using machinery. In turn, more grain can be harvested and losses can be reduced.
The new Field Connect Gateway 3G and Field Connect Wireless Radio option now allows users to easily detect remote moisture and other environmental conditions.
"Customers can use the kits to optimize the number of nodes within one mile of the gateway, and can connect up to eight nodes per gateway with 3G coverage,” Reed continued.
